Dr. Hiran Shanaka

Dr. Hiran Shanaka is the General Manager and the link officer between Stanford Education and University of Northampton. He handles all the academic related matters of the partnership. Having lived in 4 out of 7 Continents of the world, he is naturally equipped with the abilities of dealing in cross-cultural matters. His education background includes a PhD in Economics from University of New South Wales, Australia, an MBA from University of Swinburne, Australia.

Dr. Hiran was an Adjunct Professor of the MBA Faculty at University of South Australia (UniSA), City West Campus and Columbia Southern University (USA) with specialisations in Research Methods, Finance, Accounting, Econometrics, Statistics, Economics, Management and Engineering Designs. He has got solid experience in programme management of UK universities, as he was the Programme Director for Coventry University and Nottingham Trent University and University of Derby, programmes in Hong Kong. He also possesses sound experience in course development and curriculum design for the Business Programmes. He was also the Regional Head of University of East London (Exam Board) and had closely worked with University’s senior management team.

Prior to his current focus in education, Dr. Hiran worked for one of the global Big Four auditing firms, Coopers & Lybrand as an Auditor and he also worked for 3M, Australia as a Product Development Manager. He actively participates in activities with professional bodies he is attached with. Society of Operation Engineers (a professional engineering institute) he acts as the Group Task Leader vested with authority to engage in Institutional Appraisals, Institutional Accreditations, Programme Validations and Programme Accreditations for academic and commercial purposes.

Professor James Graham

Professor James Graham is Partnership Consultant to Stanford Education, liaising with collaborating institutions and organisations about management and quality issues.

He is CEO of Higher Partnerships Sdn Bhd, a company dedicated to developing and supporting strategic international collaborative links among universities, colleges, industries and agencies in Asia. He specialises in quality assurance, learning and teaching, curriculum design, strategic development, transformation and management of change in international Higher Education.

He was Professor of Education at the University of East London until his ‘retirement’ in 2006. From 2003 he was UEL Director of Special Projects SE Asia and after 2006 remained based in ASEAN as an education consultant. He has worked for UNESCO and with numerous governments, universities, colleges, NGOs and international development agencies throughout the region.

Mr. Jeremy Hanshaw

Jeremy Hanshaw is our International Director, running our global engagement and international business development.

Jeremy has more than 30 years’ experience in international and transnational education, having worked as a teacher, teacher-trainer, trainer-tutor, researcher, academic director, international director, and chief executive officer worldwide.

A graduate of the University of Surrey and Edge Hill University of the UK, Jeremy’s team was awarded the Outstanding International Strategy award in the UK Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards in 2012 and was Runner-Up in the British Council Cultural Relations Awards in 2018.

Jeremy is currently completing a Doctor of Professional Practice degree at Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Ms. Priscila Chan
Miss Priscila is a graduate from Lincare College of University of Oxford. She completed her MSc. in Management Science and has been working in the UK and Hong Kong for 12 years prior to joining Stanford.

She is in-charge of general administration matters and liaising with China partners

Mr. Bill Toyer

As Academic Partnership Development Manager Mr Bill primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of new and existing academic partnerships both nationally and internationally across the university. He offers market insight to support and inform on new market and product opportunities aimed at promoting increased student numbers studying with partners overseas, with partners in the UK and at the University of Northampton.

Mr Bill manages the partnership between Stanford Education and the University of Northampton. He is responsible and accountable for robust processes and systems which grow a collaborative culture that is supportive of the strategic direction of this relationship. This in turn influences how he develops and maintains the partnerships whilst safeguarding the integrity and quality of the collaboration.
